Il Gabbiano (The Seagull)

SYNOPSIS

A few years ago, a group of artists who had ended up in a strange place just outside Rome called Intifada, started wondering -some of them from behind the camera, and some from in front of it- how to make a cinematographic version of Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull glide on their unlikely set. The result is a punk and deconstructed version of the love of young Nina for the writer Trigorin, of the eternal love-hate relationship between Kostja and his mother Irina, which actor Carmelo Bene would have probably liked.
